EIGHTEEN * MALE * FISHERMAN * FIRE * FIRE NATION COLONIES IN EARTH NATION
EIGHTEEN * MALE * FISHERMAN * FIRE * FIRE NATION COLONIES IN EARTH NATION
THE PERSON-
Chengli or Chen is a very carefree and relaxed kind of person. As a fisherman he loves nothing more than sitting back on the shore with the rod in your hands enjoying the sun. His parents raised him well as a peaceful person though he is no pacifist; he was in the fire nation army for a year before it was dissolved after the fire lord’s defeat.
He lives in the oldest fire nation colony Yu Dao. In Yu Dao things are as close to harmony between the fire nation and earth nation peoples as it can get. Chen's own father married an earth bending woman, Chen's mother. He takes great pride in being half earth nation half fire nation though in his army days he was teased for being a half blood.
When he was in the army he wished on every night for the war to magically end. He dreaded the day that he would have to fight the earth nation, every time he thought about it he saw himself cutting down his own mother. When Avatar Aang defeated the fire lord he was so relieved, and when he returned home he hugged his mother and swore to her that nothing would ever leave them apart again.
Chen himself is a student in the fire academy in Yu Dao; though his fire bending isn't all that great (doesn't work half the time) he is skilled with throwing knives and spears. He performs in the festivals along with the resident earth benders giving off a display of power and harmony. When he is not practising or studying he is fishing, he and his father operate a small dingy which he takes out regularly usually on his own. He can spend hours on end out in the bay diving and harpooning fish.
Now with the movement of harmony plan that looms to unsettle his peaceful life Chen feels threatened, he will protect his home and its people with his life. None of the people in Yu Dao want to leave their homes, where they have lived ever since the war had begun, where their ancestors are buried. Chen himself doesn't want to leave because it means he will have to leave him childhood home and possibly his mother behind. As a colony born child he knows that in the fire nation they would treat him like an inferior especially with his earth bender mother.
THE PLAYER-
DELISH * NINETEEN * 7+All was peaceful, all was quiet, just what Hannah the ex rotting alchemist loved. Walking down the road towards the slums the young woman pulled her gloves on bidding a farewell glance to the transmutation circles tattooed on her hands. Hands that held the power between life and death, that was what her hands were capable of. If she wished so she could cause a person to spew out their rotting insides and die, or using the body’s natural resources she could fix minor injuries and eliminate disfiguring scars.
Her belief in her techniques had only recently developed; because of the war she had come to hate herself and her own alchemy. The technique and her hands were stained in blood, and though she still felt too dirty to even be alive the Xingese had given a new purpose to her life. Now she was paying for her eternal sin by helping others.
Wandering into the slum she saw Amestrians and Ishvalans living in harmony, united by their situations forced onto them by the state military. They were both the happiest and the saddest places to walk through, the slums. While the people were hungry and living in filth, there was no racism, no class, no one was above the rest, they were all equal and therefore in harmony with each other.
Something caught her eye as she walked into the town. A child missing a leg, sad for the small child she crouched near him sitting on a log in the sun staring blankly at the ground. "Hi there, I'm Doctor Dutton" she spoke softly lowering her hood, the child seemed pale, and there was a smell coming from the leg. On closer inspection she also saw he was weak leaning against his tent. She frowned, she wanted to help the child, to grow back his leg and bring back his smile. However growing back limbs was hard enough, near impossible with an adult let alone a weak child.
Reaching into her bag she pulled out a bag of what looked like trail mix and a bottle of creamy liquid. "I can help you but you must eat and drink this first, it will help your body fight the infection and heal" she explained holding out the food and drink to the child. Smiling he took the offerings, and quickly devoured the meal gulping down the creamy liquid. He was clearly quite hungry though he tried hard not to show it, Hannah just petted his hair as he ate and drank side glancing as she noticed a tall dark stranger looking in their direction.
